Day Three started with an ecological lesson by Mr Wolfe along the intertidal zone of Montague Bay. Here we were able to pick up and feel a variety of textures and live marine life. Lots of ooh and ahhs as well as yikes!!
A few minor scrapes from barnacles and slippery seaweed had to be attended to. Lots of smiles and happy faces!
While waiting for the ferry ride home we relaxed on the beach with some juicy watermelon and played the game Mafia.
Well deserved chocolate cake, fries and ice cream was joyfully devoured on the ferry ride home.
The polar opposite sea conditions from our initial crossing of the Straight of Georgia greeted us for our return. Glass like seas calm and sunny made for fun in the sun. I’m sure everyone is happy to get home to a familiar bed.
